Why Yoga?
Most of us are aware of the importance of exercise to our health. And maybe or maybe not are participating in some sort of physical activity. Some of us may already enjoy the numerous benefits of stretching too. Movement whatever it is important to keep the body functioning at its optimum.

Yoga complements all forms of exercise and can be found to be the missing link in a person's wellness programme.

Yoga primarily focuses on the health of the spine. A healthy spine means a healthy body, as each vertebra has numerous nerve fibres connecting the brain to the organs via the spine. More often on not, we are not aware that our spine may be under stress or working inefficiently. Yoga stretches, elongates, twists, strengthens and tones the spine through series of postures that have been used for over 5000 years!

It's the oldest and most established form of exercise. The ancient Indians originally designed the postures to stop the body declining in health, as the person got older.

Relaxation and breathing were also keys parts of slow down the aging process. Feeling calmer, less stressed and allowing the body time to align and heal itself means taking some time to really focus on our inner and outer self. Yoga embodies this.
